Daycare

Daycare Assendelft is located on the Dorpsstraat in Assendelft. The daycare has three horizontal groups: a baby group, a toddler group and a child group. Each group has its own space which is furnished with different play corners. The groups are adjacent to each other, so there is a lot of contact between the groups. This reinforces the homely and familiar feeling at the location for both the children and the teachers.

Children can play outside in the nature playground, also known as 'the discovery garden'. During the year, the children are taken outside as much as possible. There is a large vegetable garden, the children are involved in growing their own fruit and vegetables. Another thing that makes the outdoor area of daycare Assendelft so special is the tennis court next to the garden. Here the children have the space to cycle.

Not only moving and playing in the open air is characteristic of this location, but also being able to sleep in the open air in the special outdoor sleeping houses is a characteristic in which location Assendelft distinguishes itself. Parents can indicate themselves whether they want this for their child, but Babino will always encourage sleeping outside, as this has various (health) benefits.

Inside, attention is paid to various activities that are in line with the monthly themes that are used. These themes change based on the seasons and holidays and are based on a development method. In this way there is a varying range of fun activities for the children throughout the year.

In addition to playing and sleeping, the daycare also has a varied diet, with the children eating fruit in the morning and vegetables in the afternoon. At noon the children are offered a warm and healthy meal, prepared by Babino's cook. The meals are adapted to the different ages of the children.
