Location Herman Gorter is located in Zaandam and has a daycare center, toddler care and 2 after-school care locations. One of the after-school care locations is located in the main building of primary school ‘Herman Gorter’, where the oldest children are taken care of. The other groups are located in the substructure of primary school ‘Herman Gorter’.

Daycare

Daycare center Herman Gorter is located in the recently renovated building of primary school ‘Herman Gorter’. Together with the school, Babino forms an integrated child center (IKC). This means that we work together on the basis of one vision, one team and one plan. All children are followed in one continuous line within an IKC until they are 13 years old.

The daycare center has one vertical group, which means that children from 0 to 4 years old are in the same group. The group has its own space in the school building, which is furnished with various play corners. In addition to the private space inside, you can also play outside on the adjacent playground especially for younger children. For the smallest babies there is also a special outdoor playpen where they can play quietly themselves. During the year, the children are taken outside as much as possible.

Inside, attention is paid to various activities that are in line with the themes that are being worked on. These themes change based on the seasons and holidays and are based on a development method. In this way there is a varying range of fun activities for the children throughout the year.

Of course, all that playing makes the kids hungry. There is a varied diet at the daycare, with the children eating fruit in the morning and vegetables in the afternoon. At noon the children are offered a warm and healthy meal, prepared by Babino's cook. The meals are adapted to the different ages of the children.

Toddlercare

Toddlercare Herman Gorter is located in the recently renovated building of primary school ‘Herman Gorter’. The two groups have a new room, specially equipped for the age of 2 to 4 years. In addition to toddlercare, Babino also offers day care and out-of-school care at this location.

The teachers will guide your child in the transition to primary school. With the help of the VVE program Pyramid Digital, a wide range of activities is offered. Your child can expect good game guidance from this team, the teachers offer help and let children discover at their own pace.

The outdoor area of the location is located at the groups, your child can enjoy cycling on the square, slide down the slide and play in the sandpit. The children can also take a look at the groups of the primary school, see which teachers are in front of the group and see which activities are being done.

After-school care

After-school care Herman Gorter consists of 2 locations.

The youngest children are taken care of at the substructure location. There are 2 basic groups here, ‘Blauwe Ekster’ and ‘Oranje Beer’, both spaces are divided into various fine corners, such as a house corner and a building corner. But the children can also do crafts or read a book on the couch. You can play outside on the beautiful large square of the school. Pre-school care for 4-12 year olds takes place at this location.

The superstructure location accommodates the older children in 3 basic groups, ‘Gele Giraf’, ‘Grijze Olifant’ and ‘Groene Nijlpaard’. The range of activities is well geared to the older age group and the children are allowed to think about what they would like to do. This location also has a schoolyard where the children can use up their energy.

A fun, challenging and varied activity program is made for each holiday, including excursions. Think of cooking for lunch, sports and games, creative activities and, for example, a trip to the forest, a fun playground or the bowling alley.

This BSO location, together with primaty school ‘Herman Gorter’, forms an integrated child center (IKC). An integrated child center is a place where everyone works together based on one vision, one team and one plan.
